WPACT Winter Competition Wrap-Up 💗🤽‍♂️🤽‍♀️

That’s a wrap on the 2026 WPACT Winter Competition! 👏

It was great to see so many people around the pool for our final round, and even better to see so much pink for the CGS Water Polo hosted Pink Round. 💗🎀

The fundraising BBQ was a hit, with plenty of support from our water polo community helping raise money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. A huge thank you to everyone who got involved and helped make the round such a success.

We also had Dragan Bakic back in town, continuing the work from our Referee Mentor Program weekend by assessing referees and providing feedback throughout the final round. 🤽‍♂️📋

After plenty of water polo over the past few months, our attention now turns towards summer! ☀️

There have been a few changes to the Youth League draw for Sunday, so please make sure you double-check the draw before heading to the pool.

The Water Polo ACT Board wants to hear from you!

As we look to the future of water polo in the ACT and surrounding regions, we want to understand what matters most to our members - what you love about being involved, what is working well, where we can improve and what you would like to see in the future.

Whether you’re a player, parent, coach, referee, official, volunteer or club committee member, your experience and perspective is important.

📝 Your feedback will help the Board better understand the views of our water polo community and inform our priorities, competitions, programs and opportunities over the coming years.

📅 The survey will be open for two weeks, from Friday 21 August until Friday 4 September.

Round 3 This Weekend! 💗

Round 3 of the WPACT Winter Competition is coming up this weekend, Saturday 22 & Sunday 23 August, with CGS Water Polo hosting our Pink Round 🎀

📋 The Round 3 Draw is now available online via the WPACT website and through the link in our bio 🔗

💗 Don’t forget to wear pink! We’re encouraging all clubs, athletes and coaches to get behind the Pink Round and show your support for the fight against breast cancer.

For those attending the weekend, make sure you check out the fundraising activities being run by CGS Water Polo and consider making a donation via the CGS Water Polo or Canberra Grammar School Instagram bios.

⚠️ WWVP Checks
WPACT will be conducting WWVP checks throughout Winter Comp this weekend. All coaches and managers must have their WWVP card with them, or a valid photo of their card on their phone. If you cannot provide this, you will not be permitted to coach or manage over the weekend.

Please make sure you have your WWVP card (or equivalent) or a photo of it ready for the weekend. If you’re having any issues with your card or details, please contact WPACT before the weekend.

Representative Program Update 🤽‍♂️🤽‍♀️

Our WPACT Representative Program continues to grow, with our athletes and coaches putting in the work each weekend as we prepare for the National State Championships 💪

As part of that preparation, we’ve added 30 size 4 and 30 size 5 KAP7 Hydrogrip balls to our Representative Program - the same high-quality balls used at the recent World Cup Finals 🌏

Investing in quality equipment ensures our athletes are training in an environment that reflects the level they are working towards.

A big thank you to KAP7 Australia and New Zealand for supporting our Rep Program and helping provide our athletes with the equipment they need to keep developing 🤝

With memberships renewing on 1 September, now is a good time to check that your email address is up to date in your Revolutionise member profile.

Each year, memberships are renewed using your existing member profile. If you’ve changed email addresses during the season and haven’t updated your details, you may experience difficulties when renewing.
