Today ran very smoothly, with 40 players in attendance. A win by Masaki Horikawa over top seed Harry Press in the final round was enough for a share of first place.

39 players today. A couple of players crueled their chances with late arrivals, thereby missing the round 1 pairings.

Huge effort from the Street Chess Canberra team at the 2026 World Rapid and Blitz Teams Championship. Playing the winners of the Rapid tournament, Dragon Chilling, they picked up 2 wins from 6 games, going down 4-2 at the end. Dragon Chilling had 5 GM's and played Ding Liren on the top board.

Good luck to the Street Chess Canberra team who are taking part in the 2026 World Rapid and Blitz Teams Championship in Hong Kong. Please visit the tournament website and see the team go up against the world's best players.
