DID YOU KNOW?
The Canberra Bowling Club’s first home was the newly constructed greens in the grounds of Hotel Canberra (now Hyatt Canberra). After playing alongside guests, visitors and politicians a group of 27 enthusiasts formed the Canberra Bowling Club on the 27th October in 1926. Records show the club paid the annual sum of two pounds ten shillings per member to the hotel for the use of the greens.
