Today we would like to pay our respects to John Fely, as he is farewelled by family and friends.

John was a wonderful clubman who was pivotal to the early days of Clubland. With a great interest in digital technologies, he was part of the first committee to say yes to this new idea of 'digital clubhouses'. At the time, he was club secretary, a post he held at Uni-Norths Owls for six years. John stayed close to it from there, seeing the very first version of the platform brought into the Owls, a community we have now proudly supported for four seasons.

John Fely personified what it means to be a club person, contributing immensely to the culture and community that exists today. In the same breath, he regaled us with fond memories of the past, in particular a fourth grade grand final win back in the glory days with Norths. He was generous, he was curious, he was kind, and he set an example for others to follow.
