The Geelong Supercats produced a 40th anniversary singlet commemorating their history. Featuring one of their greatest Cal Bruton it also featured the name of former 36ers coach Joey Wright (dead centre of singlet). Wright was a good import before he took up coaching. He was an even better coach. One of the best in his time.

One of the all-time greats of Australian basketball Cal Bruton featured on this 1985 cover of the Australian Basketball Magazine. Bruton was so good Basketball Australia begged him to naturalize and become an Aussie. He DID and was selected to become a member of the Boomers 1986 World Cup team. He’s just been announced as the head coach of the U/20 ACT men to contest the upcoming Australian Championships.
