Good luck to all Belconnen LAC runners tomorrow. Have walked, I mean waded through, the course this afternoon and it is MUDDY! Lots of fun though, you will all have the best time!

Tomorrow, 58 incredible athletes will proudly pull on the ACT colours as they take to the start line at the 2026 Australian Athletics Cross Country Championships in Ballarat. πŸ’™πŸ’›

Months of training, dedication and determination have led to this moment. From the youngest competitors to our experienced athletes, each has earned the opportunity to represent Team ACT on one of Australia's most iconic cross country courses.

Ballarat is renowned for its challenging terrain, unpredictable conditions, plenty of mud and the excitement of racing against the nation's best.

To every Team ACT athleteβ€”race hard, support one another, embrace the challenge and most importantly, enjoy the experience. We couldn't be prouder of you all.

Congratulations to the team, especially all the Belconnen athletes, selected to run for the ACT at the upcoming cross-country nationals in Bendigo!

Congratulations to the following 59 ACT athletes who have been selected to represent Team ACT at the 2026 Australian Athletics Cross Country Championships in Ballarat at the end of August.

These athletes will take on the renowned Ballarat cross country course, where they'll no doubt encounter plenty of mud, challenging obstacles and the thrill of competing against the nation's best distance runners.

We congratulate every athlete on their selection and wish them all the very best as they proudly represent the ACT. Good luck, Team ACT!

It was great to see so many BLAC athletes competing at the ACT Cross Country Championships on Sunday. It was a beautiful day for runners, spectators and kangaroos too.πŸ˜‰ Congratulations to everyone who competed, wonderful to see lots of PBs and medals for our athletes!πŸ‘πŸ»

Thank you to all our athletes and families for attending our 25-26 end of season award ceremony and AGM last Sunday. We are so proud of all the athletes for their commitment this season, the parents for volunteering to help as age managers, running the meets and canteen each week and being on the committee.
