August started at full pace, but we wanted to pause and make sure these incredible contributors get the proper recognition they deserve.
Grassroots rugby simply cannot function without the selfless people who give up their own time week in, week out.
From freezing early morning field setups and long hours on the training paddock, managing fixtures and pulling on the refereeβs jersey, their dedication keeps our local competitions thriving.
A massive thank you and congratulations to our July Volunteers of the Month:
π Coach of the Month: Tristan Buttenshaw (Wests Rugby Club, ACT Junior Rugby Union, ACT Brumbies U18s)
π Club Person of the Month: Kim Thorsen (Vikings Juniors)
π Match Official of the Month: Clair Greenwood (ACT Rugby Referees Association) β Also nominated the Rugby Australia Match Official of the Month.
To our winners, and to every single volunteer who turns up for their club week after week, we appreciate everything you do.
Please join us in giving these legends some well-deserved love in the comments below! ππ
