A little throwback to our 2013 Floriade performance!

2013 was a HUGE year for Elite Dance Studio Canberra!

We said goodbye to running classes out of community halls in Ainslie and Dickson and moved into our very own studio in Mitchell — upstairs from where we are now, with just ONE dance room! We took over Dynamic Studios and rebranded it as Elite Dance Studio Canberra.

This was also the year we introduced our competition teams and Hip Hop crews, added more classes to the timetable and really started growing!

Looking back at these photos from our Floriade performance and thinking about that one little studio upstairs compared to where we are now is pretty special.

2013 — a big year of change, growth and the beginning of a whole new chapter for Elite.

After the HUGE success of our last Holiday Program, we are doing it all again these September/October school holidays — and this time for TWO WEEKS!

• Kinder – Year 2
• Year 3 – Year 6

Three full days of dancing, activities, games, creativity and LOTS of fun!

💗 $350 – One week / 3 days
💗 $600 – BOTH weeks / 6 days
💗 $125 – Casual day rate

Elite was established in 2011 and just one year later we hit the stage for our very first end of year show!

Fast forward to 2026 and we are celebrating 15 YEARS OF ELITE and getting ready to do it all again this December… just a little bigger than we were back then!

So many dancers, families, teachers, routines, costumes and AMAZING memories over the years and honestly, looking back at photos like this is just so special!

Our dancers have been working incredibly hard, we’ve welcomed lots of new faces, and our focus is now on choosing Showcase routines and bringing our end-of-year plans to life as we celebrate 15 years of Elite. 🖤

Only 2 weeks left to join our Elite family in 2026! We will be closing enrolments halfway through this term as we shift our full focus to Showcase preparations and our end-of-year performances.

What a weekend.

A huge thank you to Canberra Dance Collective for another incredible competition, and to the wonderful adjudicators Jason Law Tania-Attard-O’Dwyer for your encouragement and valuable feedback throughout the weekend.

A massive thank you also to Canberra Dancewear for our beautiful costumes, and to our amazing teaching team Amy Agustin Alessia Zedde Georgia Evans rach wink Keira Larkham Lucy .Your passion and dedication make weekends like this possible.

A special mention to Maria and Kaily, who both stepped up after a team mate sadly was too unwell to compete.

Maria was undoubtedly our MVP, learning multiple solo moments at the last minute and jumping into whatever was needed. Kaily also stepped up without hesitation, taking on extra choreography and an important solo moment. We are so proud of you both.

Another shout out to our 14/U and Senior troupes, who arrived early to completely re-space routines after the last-minute changes. You handled it like absolute professionals.

Our Kindness & Inclusion Award was shared with DANCE EDGE SCHOOL OF PERFORMING ARTS | CANBERRA and honestly, no amount of first places could ever compare to receiving this. It means the world because it reflects the culture we strive to create every day.

To top it all off, our Senior Troupes achieved a clean sweep, winning 1st place in every Senior section we entered!!!!
