This Daffodil Day, we’re taking the plunge for a cause that matters. 🌻

Join Cancer Council ACT for a Community Cold Dip on 19 August as we brave the icy waters of Lake Burley Griffin to stand with everyone affected by cancer.

For 40 years, people all over Australia have come together to share a message of hope on Daffodil Day- raising funds for our local support services, prevention services, and vital cancer research. This year alone, Cancer Council ACT was able to invest $200,000 in cancer research, supporting two local researchers working to improve outcomes for our community.
So, who’s ready to embrace the cold for something bigger? Grab your friends, take the plunge, and be part of a community coming together to make a real difference.

We’re hiring!
Red Shed is looking for an Operations Officer. It’s the role that keeps this place running: the front desk, the systems, the building, and the hundred small things that make a member’s day go smoothly.
You’d be the first face people see when they walk in, and the person who owns the platforms humming away behind it all. It’s hands-on, it’s varied, and there’s real ownership in it.
We’re after someone sharp and organised who takes genuine responsibility, is great with people, and is keen to use AI and smart systems to work better rather than just harder.
Full-time, on site at Black Mountain Peninsula, across rowing, RSX, Recovery, Easy Oar and events.
Applications are open now on SEEK, link in bio.
Know someone who’d be brilliant at this? Tag them below.

Get ready for Head of the Charles 2026

We are excited to be helping this gun crew on the journey towards glory at Head of the Charles, Boston USA.

Louise, Em, Jo, and Susan are a crew from Sydney. Different clubs. Same goal - win the Head of the Charles. They are already a great crew but they are coming down to Red Shed as they prepare for time on the Lake and help from the coaching team. We look forward to sharing their progress as they build towards October.
