✈️ Believe in yourself, back yourself, and see just how far you can fly.

Maxine had the absolute privilege of meeting and listening to the incredible story of Group Captain Marija Jovanovich AM CSM, Royal Australian Air Force and Australian Defence Force flight test pilot.

Hearing about Marija’s aviation journey, the challenges she has taken on and what she has achieved was truly inspiring. Her story is a powerful reminder that when you put your mind to something, believe in yourself and have the courage to keep pushing forward, you can achieve extraordinary things.

Aviation is full of amazing people and incredible opportunities, but every aviation story has to start somewhere.

What could your story be? ✈️

If you’ve ever looked to the sky and thought, “I’d love to learn to fly,” maybe now is the time to stop wondering and start your own journey.

Come and discover flying with Recreational Aviation Australia (RAAus). Your first flight could be the beginning of an adventure you never imagined possible.

Dream it. Believe it. Fly it. ✈️

✈️ Scholarship Update: Jack Di Sebastiano

We’re excited to share an update from Airservices Australia Scholarship recipient Jack Di Sebastiano, who has reached an incredible milestone—his first solo flight!

The scholarship’s initial funding helped Jack achieve his first solo, while consistent weekly lessons have allowed him to build the mental pathways, muscle memory and confidence needed as he works towards greater consistency in solo circuits.

Jack is also continuing to give back to the aviation community. Each week, he travels from Brisbane to the Gold Coast to teach Aerospace to Air Force Cadets and share his passion for flying. He recently helped lead Team Hinkler to victory in Aviation High’s annual air race supporting Angel Flight—the team’s first win in 11 years! 🏆

Follow his flying journey and watch his first solo at on Instagram.
