South Gungahlin Raiders Netball Club first took the courts in 2003 with 17 junior teams born out of local primary schools. The Club grew rapidly and by 2008 there were almost 400 players and 39 teams. To expand the base of netball in Gungahlin and provide an avenue for further growth, the Club successfully divided its membership into two district Clubs at the end of 2008.
