🏑 500 GAMES FOR KATE! 🖤💛

A huge congratulations to the wonderful Kate, who this weekend reached an incredible milestone, her 500th (and 501st 🫣) game for Old Canberrans!

And because game 500 apparently wasn’t quite special enough… Kate also made her CL1 ‘debut’, fulfilling a very special dream of getting to take the field alongside Cat. 🥹🖤💛

There is something pretty wonderful about hockey giving us moments like these, where after hundreds of games, there are still new memories to make and special milestones to share with the people who mean the most.

Kate, we are incredibly lucky to have you as part of the Old Canberrans family. Thank you for the years you have given to our club, for the friendships, memories and contribution you have made along the way.

The Chris MacKinnon Breast Cancer Awareness Weekend is an annual Hockey ACT event where the hockey community goes pink to help raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research. The weekend has been running since 2013 in honour of one of the Hockey ACT community Life Members, Chris MacKinnon, who sadly lost her breast cancer battle in January 2013.

It's that time of year again when we start preparing for our end of season celebrations. Please save the date for our Senior Presentation night Gala dinner, on Saturday 24th October. Full details to come soon!

Dates for junior presentation will be announced soon also.
