As we reflect on another incredible year, we want to take a moment to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who wears the Invictus uniform.

To every paddler, coach, sweep, drummer, volunteer, supporter and family member — thank you. Every person plays a part. Every seat in the boat matters. Every effort, every early morning, every training session, every laugh and every push helps make our club what it is.

Congratulations to our 2026 Award Winners! 🏆 Your achievements, commitment and contribution represent the very best of our Invictus spirit.

But these awards are also a reminder that dragon boating is about so much more than individual achievement. It is about showing up for one another, building friendships, challenging ourselves and pushing as one.

And as we prepare for a new season, there has never been a better time to join us! Whether you're an experienced paddler or have never stepped into a dragon boat before, there is a seat waiting for you.

🐉 Celebrating Our Inaugural Life Member – Heather 🐉

Today, Invictus Dragon Boat Club had the honour of awarding Life Membership to our inaugural President and founding member, Heather.

Since helping establish Invictus in 2020, Heather has been the driving force behind so much of what makes our club what it is today. From developing our governance and membership systems to leading the club through its formative years, her dedication, leadership and countless hours behind the scenes have built the strong foundations we all enjoy today.

Heather's impact extends far beyond Invictus, continuing to serve the wider dragon boating community as a sweep, DBACT Events Manager and mentor to race officials. Her passion for the sport and commitment to others is truly inspiring.

Life Membership is the highest honour our club can bestow, recognising exceptional service and lasting contribution. As our inaugural Life Member, Heather has set the benchmark for what it means to lead with generosity, humility and heart.

Heather, thank you for believing in Invictus before it even existed, for your unwavering commitment, and for helping create the incredible community we are proud to call our club.
