Belconnen Croquet Club

We have been trialling and refining the arrangements for night croquet. Almost got the paint for the ball sorted. When it is done we’ll spread the invitation to try it out. Plan is for a fire pit and mulled wine and hot chocolate.

We had five club members playing at the Willow Challenge hosted by the Toronto Croquet Club over the weekend. Good times. Mixed weather and results for our players. Great event.

Well done to Vicki Bennett and her doubles partner for being runners up in their block at the Toronto Croquet Club Willow Challenge. We had sunshine and rain and great competition.

Been an exciting week at Aranda venue with the new Dawson balls making a debut and the new flag to highlight our presence being displayed.

Well done to our Div 3 pennants team in reaching the play off against Jamberoo to see who represents the region. Been great seeing our new club improve each year in Div 3 pennants.

Great day of Div 3 pennants against Southern Highlands Croquet Club. Exciting games all round. Well done to the opposition who pipped us at the post.

Congratulations to Canberra (& also Belconnen) member Kate McLoughlin on a podium finish at the Open Women’s AC tournament.

Another woodwork achievement from one of our members. A trolley for club mallets. Or for players to store their mallets when not playing, so they are less of a trip hazard around the gazebo at events. Well done Mark Williams.
