THE EDGE | A huge thank you to Zoe Oldham from The Walking Clinic Woden for her incredible generosity this week.

Zoe, a podiatrist and former cast member of our award-winning 2023 project Unhinged, reached out in the final three weeks before our show to offer our dancers complimentary podiatry assessments and treatment, so our dancers could get through rehearsals and performances as comfortably as possible.

She went above and beyond, offering to come into the studio or open her clinic on weekends to make it as easy as possible for our dancers and their families.

This kind of support means so much during such a busy time and it is a beautiful reminder of the community we get to be part of. Thank you, Zoe — we are so grateful to have you in our corner, on stage and off!

The Edge offers Tia something no other place in Canberra does — the chance to commit to a full dance production exactly as a professional would, training at a level that genuinely prepares her for what comes next.

What she loves most in rehearsals is building her character from the inside out — adding her own layer of characterisation and choreographic detail that makes the role uniquely hers.

Storytelling and human connection are at the heart of everything that drives Tia — on stage, in the studio and in life, she’s always pushing to grow through dedication and creativity.

✨ Meet Emma Prail - ‘Office Manager’

The Edge is giving Emma a genuine glimpse into the professional world — not just learning complex choreography, but having work created on her, watching her character develop and discovering how to reach an audience and move them.

What sparks her is the contrast — the way wildly different movement styles weave together into a single story, opening up a sense of limitless possibility in her own creative expression.

Dancing alongside other artists is her fuel. Watching how they move, how they inhabit their characters — it pushes her to dig deeper and keep refining.

Before you watch, Emma wants you to appreciate the layers beneath every step — the intention, the character work, the storytelling woven into every single movement you’ll see on stage.

What lights her up most? Those final weeks of rehearsal, when everything starts clicking and the full work comes alive on stage. Emily is driven by optimism and a deep love of music — the way it moves through her body and becomes something you can see.
