Australian Athletics National Cross Country Champs were yesterday in Ballarat Victoria. Well done to 15 members of our group who raced in these challenging conditions.

Saturday morning session! Audrey's last one for a while as she is off to run for the University of Minnesota. Zoe H. left last week to run for Boston College! Johnny and Matilda start their 2nd semester at the University of Wake Forest and Lipscomb University. Best of luck to these 4 athletes on their journey and to all those competing at the National XC Champs next Saturday in Ballarat!

Another fantastic performance from Kieran at the World U20 Championships in Eugene, Oregon! 🇦🇺

Kieran finished 8th in the 1500m final against the best U20 athletes in the world, running 3:42.25.

8th in the world at just 17 years of age! An incredible achievement.

Well done, Kieran! 👏🇦🇺

What a result for Kieran today at the World U20 1500m Championships in Eugene Oregon running a new pb of 3:42.94 and placing 3rd in his heat to qualify for the final. Kieran's time was the 3rd fastest of the day and he will now line up on Monday morning Canberra time at 7:25am on 7+. Well done Kieran!

This Saturday we have our annual Green Vs Gold cross country event as part of the Canberra Runners Winter Series. Members of our group will be placed in either the Green or Gold team with prizes including gift vouchers from the Runner's Shop in Phillip and even a cash prize. Racing starts at 12:45 so make sure you are there in plenty of time.

Great turnout to this morning session and we said farewell and good luck to Kieran who is off to the USA tomorrow morning for a training camp in Santa Barbara California before the World U20 Athletics Championships which start on August 5th. It takes a team!

Cold morning but hot running from Chloe, Harper and Kieran this morning over 1k. Chloe and Harper run 3:08/3:09 for the distance. Kieran prepping for Worlds run 2:24.9 or 58 second 400m pace for 2 1/2 laps. Good luck to everyone racing tomorrow at ACT XC champs.
