FitKidz is a fun and engaging fitness program designed for 7-13-year-olds. Delivered by our passionate and qualified Fitness Professionals, FitKidz introduces fitness in a fun, friendly and non-competitive small-group training environment.

Yesterday we farewell Kristen Green after 22 incredible years with Aquafit. 💙

From the very beginning, Kristen has played an integral role in bringing Aquafit to life and helping shape it into the welcoming, connected and thriving health and wellness community it is today.

More recently, Kristen also helped establish Hakea Wellness, continuing our commitment to supporting healthier, happier lives across Macarthur.

While her contribution to Aquafit and Hakea has been extraordinary, Kristen has always said it is the people she will remember most. The members, the team, the friendships and the shared moments have made this journey one that will always hold a very special place in her heart.

On behalf of Aquafit, Hakea Wellness and Campbelltown Catholic Club, we thank Kristen for her leadership, dedication, care and the lasting impact she has made on our people, our members and our community.

Following Kristen’s recent message, we are pleased to share that Karlee Franek will step into the role of Head of Aquafit & Hakea Wellness. 🎉

Karlee brings more than 10 years’ experience across health, fitness and leisure, with experience across facility management, operations, fitness, wellness and education.

Over the past year, she has been part of the Aquafit and Hakea team, contributing to the establishment of Hakea Wellness and building a strong understanding of our members, team, services and community.

With a people-first approach, Karlee is passionate about creating welcoming environments where members feel supported, motivated and connected. In her new role, she will continue to focus on maintaining high-quality facilities, supporting our team, and delivering engaging programs and experiences for our members.

Karlee is looking forward to meeting more of our members, listening to what matters most to them, and continuing to build on the strong sense of community that makes Aquafit and Hakea so special.

VALE - RAY MCMAHON

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of our much-loved original Living Stronger member Ray McMahon.

Many of you will have known Ray through our Living Stronger program, where he and his wife, Decima, first joined us back in 2007. Over the years, they became treasured members of the Aquafit family and made a lasting impact on our community.

Ray was one of those special people who brought joy wherever he went. His warmth, kindness and wonderful sense of humour brightened the lives of everyone around him.

Ray was truly an Aquafit treasure, and both he and Decima made an extraordinary contribution to our community over many years. They will always hold a very special place in our hearts.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Ray's family and all those whose lives Ray touched.

For those wishing to celebrate Ray's life, his funeral Mass will be held at:

St Thomas More Catholic Church, Ruse, on Tuesday, 14 July at 11.00 am.

Following the service, everyone is warmly invited to gather at Campbelltown Catholic Club from 1.00 pm to share memories and celebrate Ray's life together.

A live stream of the funeral will also be available for those who are unable to attend in person.

Rest in peace, Ray.

After 22 years with Aquafit, I have made the difficult decision that it is time for me to step away from my role as General Manager Aquafit & Hakea Wellness and begin a new chapter.

This decision has not been easy.

More than 22 years ago, Campbelltown Catholic Club had a vision to create a health and fitness facility that would positively impact people in our community. I was incredibly fortunate to help bring that vision to life and watch Aquafit grow into the thriving health and wellness community it is today. More recently, I also had the privilege of co-founding Hakea Wellness, continuing that commitment to helping people live healthier, happier lives.

While I am proud of what has been achieved over the past two decades, it is the people I will remember most.

To every member who has walked through our doors, attended a class, achieved a goal, supported our community initiatives, shared feedback, or simply made Aquafit part of their life, thank you.

It has been a privilege to be part of your journey, to celebrate your achievements, share in your challenges, and see the positive impact that health, fitness and wellness can have on people’s lives.

While I am stepping away from my role and will be finishing up on 9 July, Aquafit and Hakea Wellness will always hold a very special place in my heart.

I leave knowing both businesses are in the hands of a dedicated team who care deeply about our members, our community and the future.

Thank you for your loyalty, support and friendship over the years. It has truly been an honour.
