Feedback will assist the RD team in assessing distance accuracy, safety & accessibility while maximising the beautiful coastline views.

While we welcome feedback, ultimately any proposed course change is determined by the GB Event team & will require endorsement/permits from SC Council & parkrun.

📣*Why the Pre-Event Briefing Matters Every Single Saturday*

Hey parkrunners! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

We know the feeling. It’s Saturday morning, you’ve just arrived, and you’re excited to catch up with friends. But when the Run Director steps up, we need everyone to pause the chatter and listen carefully.

Even if you’ve completed hundreds of parkruns, the pre-event briefing is a crucial part of parkrun. Here is why those few minutes are so important:

*Safety Updates:* We use this time to warn you about course hazards.
*Insurance Requirements:* Delivering safety guidelines is a mandatory requirement for parkrun to keep its event insurance active.
*Respecting the volunteers:* Standing in front of a crowd can be daunting. Remaining quiet & listening is a simple way to show respect to the Run Director & volunteers who give up their morning for your run.
*Welcoming First-Timers:* Newcomers rely on the briefing to understand the course and the finish funnel process.
*Celebrating Milestones:*This is our chance to applaud official milestones, welcome visitors, and cheer on the community achievements that make GB parkrun so special.

Ready for a golden Golden Beach moment 🤩✨
We welcomed 28 visitors, celebrated 24 new PBs and cheered on 7 people completing their very first parkrun, alongside all our fabulous regulars! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
These visitors had some lovely feedback about today’s event, telling us how much they loved it! 💛
A special mention to our little friend, who started parkrunning at the grand age of 4, is now 5 and has now completed an amazing 53 parkruns at 52 different locations! 👏🎉
They’re hoping to return to Golden Beach for their 100th milestone — and we certainly hope to see them back! 🥰
