A huge Calliope District Golf Club Inc happy birthday to Mr Steven Cruwys. He is celebrating the day out on the course, living the dream. Cruzy has been with Calliope Golf since 2008 and I'm certain there is no other place he would rather be. As our head Green's Keeper he is in charge of handling all of the day to day efforts on our wonderful course, and he keeps it running like a well oiled machine. A massive happy birthday needs to be extended to this wonderful gentleman, as he is a pleasure to work with, and always has a huge smile on his face, just not when photographed by Ray 🎉🥳🎂

We are beyond grateful for our young superstars out here at Calliope District Golf Club Inc.
These young boys come out with dad, to ensure he always has enough sand to fill his divots.
It's amazing to see our golfers teaching their children the fundamentals of golf and ground maintenance at such a young age, and a huge thank you to all of those people that ensure they are doing the right thing 😊👏

Yesterday is always a special day in our Calliope District Golf Club Inc calendar, the annual Funky Pants celebration, very kindly supported by Mr Bruce Heselwood. The day was run as an American Foursomes, which ensured a fun filled day for everyone.
The wonderful day was won by Steven Griffiths and Eli Griffiths, who were in great spirits, on a score of 65.12. Followed by Brett Baartz and Lee Wairau, with a score of 68.5. Then we had Gordon Kerr and Tony Bayton take out 3rd place with 69.87. We had some visitors from Yeppon take out the Fourth spot on 70.37, and finally Julian Maynard and Linzi McBean with 71.37.

We also had Charlie Kennedy take out the prize for Fanciest pants on the day 🎉🥳

The NTP on the 3rd hole was won by Steven Griffiths with 2.98m. 5th hole Steve McConnell with 2.9m.
Hole 8 was taken out by Alex Leitch with 3.95m. Hole 11 went to Brett Baartz with 2.52m. Hole 15 was won by Peter Steele with 2.5m followed by Steve Griffiths on 8.25m.

We were privileged to have a wonderful group of 12 gentlemen visiting from Yeppon on a brilliant Bucks party for two of their group. They were an absolute delight and welcome back any day ☺️
