Big week ahead. The Innisfail Billfish Tournament kicks off Monday with three fishable days, and the new moon tides should get the bigger barra moving.

This week's report has barra to 83cm off the sand, jacks on topwater and a rare barramundi cod from the reef.

Cairns Weekly Fishing Report is here! 🎣

Rare reef catches this week: a Māori Wrasse and a Barramundi Cod, both endangered and released unharmed, plus quality Spanish Mackerel off the inshore wrecks.

Barra are on the chew in Trinity Inlet as the tides build to the full moon, and Tinaroo is slowly waking up as the water starts to drop.
