Cairns has been selected to host the inaugural PADI AmbassaDiver Summit bringing influential divers, oceans advocates and celebrities to the Great Barrier Reef on 30 November - 5 December. Hosted in partnership with Tourism Tropical North Queensland and Tourism and Events Queensland, the Summit will give participants immersive experiences travelling with Pro Dive Cairns and Tusa Reef Tours on the Great Barrier Reef. After the Summit, the AmbassaDivers will split up to explore more of the 2300km-long Great Barrier Reef with hosted experiences in Townsville, The Whitsundays and Bundaberg’s Southern Great Barrier Reef to understand just how diverse the world’s largest reef is. TTNQ CEO Mark Olsen, Entrada Travel Group Chief Operating Officer Peter Abbott, Pro Dive Master Reef Guide Gabby Child and Quicksilver Group Managing Director Tony Baker announced the initiative supported by the Australian Government’s Reef Educational Experience Fund.
