Please note that all senior fixtures have been postponed this week due to Marlin Coast Rangers FC participation in the HAHN Australia Cup Round of 32.

This is one of the biggest regional football matches Cairns has ever hosted, and we encourage our entire football community to get behind our local representatives!

FULL-TIME | WEEKEND RESULTS 🦁❤️

It was a tough week on the pitch for our Leichhardt sides, with results not quite falling our way. Football can be a game of fine margins, and while the scoreboard wasn't kind in many matches, the effort, commitment and determination shown by our players never wavered.

A special mention to our Division 1A Men, who secured a fantastic 3-1 home victory to fly the flag for the Lions this weekend! 👏⚽

To every player, coach, manager, volunteer and supporter—thank you for continuing to represent our club with pride. We win together, we learn together, and we'll be back stronger next week.

Keep your heads up, Lions. The hard work continues, and better days are ahead. ❤️🦁

Before we wrap up the weekend, we'd like to give a huge shoutout to everyone who represented the Lions at the Filippo Mele Memorial Carnival! 🦁⚽

What an incredible three days of football, with our players showing fantastic skill, determination and sportsmanship across the carnival.

🏅 Congratulations to our U11 Black team, who held their nerve in a thrilling penalty shootout to secure 3rd place!

🥇 A massive congratulations to our U12/13 Lionesses, who were simply outstanding all weekend. They didn't lose a single game and went from strength to strength, finishing the carnival as Gold Medal Champions! 💛🖤

A huge thank you goes to all of our coaches, managers, volunteers and families who gave up their time to support our teams throughout the weekend. Your commitment and encouragement make opportunities like this possible.

Leichhardt Football Club is 100% volunteer run, and our regular volunteers are starting to burn out. We simply can't continue to operate without more people putting their hand up.

At the start of the season, each team/age group was allocated just ONE home game to assist with club duties.

Tonight is the U12s' allocated volunteer night. If you're part of the U12s and can spare even one hour, please sign up using the link below.

Our next home games are the weekend of the 25th, with U11s rostered on to assist.
