Containers For Change - Caboolture Container Recycling

Today marks something big in Caboolture Container Recycling’s history. The earthworks has begun on our new renovation. This has been four years in the planning, getting council approvals and passing regulations.

The concrete of the old scrap metal shed is being cut up to make way for the new building. Rest assured while this is ongoing for the next few months we will continue to operate. There may be a few interruptions along the way, but we will do our best to continue to make your experience with us a pleasurable one.

Lots of 10c containers can add up!!!

As Summer draws nearer, business is slowly increasing, we need MORE hands on deck to better help serve customers, and count containers!!!

Position Available: Casual Employees for approximately 20 hours per week, possibly more for the right employee.
We are seeking a casual employee to join our growing family owned and operated business.
Applicants must be:
✅ 17 years or older
✅ Honest
✅ Reliable
✅ A team player
✅ Self-motivated
✅ Great customer service skills
✅ Good with numbers
✅ Physically fit

Resumes must be hand delivered, in person, to our front office during business hours.

A bit more about the role:
This is a casual position with the opportunity to move to permanent or full-time hours in the future. The successful applicant will be on a probationary period of up to six months, with a varying number of rostered hours during that time.

Shifts are rostered between: 7am and 4pm, Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm on Saturdays, and 7am to 1pm on Sundays.
Staff are required to have reliable transportation and wear appropriate PPE.

The job is repetitive and can be labour intensive at times, with heavy lifting (up to 20kg) involved, we do try and rotate jobs as much as possible. Good customer interaction skills is an advantage as other roles are available to capable employees.

Applicants must be available to work weekends (award penalty rates apply on both Saturday and Sunday and weekday overtime is also possible).

A huge thank you needs to go to our fantastic customers who deposit their loose change… and sometimes even the folding variety… into our donation box. All that small change does make a big difference when it comes to Bright Bags buying the things they need. 💚

REMINDER:
We will be closed this coming Monday for the Moreton Bay Ekka holiday. We will be open tomorrow (Sunday the 9th) to fill the kids wallets for some show bags. And open on Wednesday (the 12th) to fill the piggy banks back up.

Those handy little baskets attached to public bins make it easy to recycle eligible 10c containers while you're out and about.

They're a simple way to keep containers out of landfill, help keep parks and beaches cleaner, and give someone else the chance to collect your container and claim the refund.
