One of the clubs objectives is to promote a safe racing environment for all riders.
Established in 1929, Byron Bay Cycle Club has positioned itself as the Bay's premier all-round cycling club. The club has regular training rides, and criterium races on the new crit circuit at the Byron Cavanbah Centre every second and fourth Sunday of every month. A technical course with single track and sand sections with not much wriggle room added to the wide range of courses tackled by BBCC cxers this year.

Round 3 of the Queensland Cyclocross State Series delivered the goods at Bangalow Showgrounds today!
The course struck that perfect balance between power and skill — fast sections where you could put the hammer down, mixed with technical off-camber lines, sketchy squishy corners, and plenty of opportunities to test both your bike handling and your nerve.
From seasoned racers chasing series points to first-timers giving cyclocross a crack, the atmosphere was fantastic. Add great racing, plenty of cheering, mud-spattered smiles, coffee, and good banter, and you’ve got everything that makes cyclocross such a great sport.
A huge thank you to all the riders, volunteers, AusCycling officials, the D grade coffee crew, spectators and supporters who helped make the day such a success. We love bringing events like this to our community and showcasing what cyclocross is all about.

Whether you’re chasing podiums, chasing your mates, or just chasing an excuse to get muddy, Round 3 of the QLD CX Series is on at Bangalow Showgrounds this Saturday, June 14.
Never raced cyclocross before? Perfect. Veteran cross tragic? Even better. Spectators, hecklers, coffee drinkers and barrier admirers are all welcome too.
Come race, come volunteer, come cheer, or just come and see what all the fuss is about. We promise at least one rider will make an ambitious line choice and immediately regret it.
