Well done to all BMSC swimmers who participated in our Country Correspondence Carnival “swim off” over the shorter distances, held last Saturday 15 th August. There were 22 participants, 120 swims, and some possible records! Thanks to the organisers, officials and timekeepers who all contributed to the event running like clockwork. Most importantly… great fun was had by all.

Hearty Congratulations to our club member and coach Julie O Connor who competed today at the Maida Vale carnival. She competed in the 1500m and blitzed the State record by 25sec! Julie’s time 23:32.38 (old record 23:57.50)… so beat it by 25s!! A fantastic performance. It is a pending record for WA 65-69 short-course 1500m Free and it adds to her 400m record that she achieved at the Nationals in Brisbane.
