Week 3 of the Sanderson Cup. All our ladies enjoyed clear, bluer skies and reflected on how lucky we were in comparison with the 2013 hailstorm.
As usual, each team turned on a feast, which added to the celebration of Vicki's birthday.
Just Week 4 and 5 to go!!!!

On Friday evening, the Busselton Tennis Club proudly hosted its inaugural Volunteer of the Year Awards Night, bringing together an invited group of volunteers, Life Members, and Management Committee members to celebrate the invaluable contribution of volunteering within the Club community.
The evening provided an opportunity for the Club to acknowledge and sincerely thank the many dedicated individuals who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the Club. Volunteers play a vital role in every aspect of Club life โ from supporting the Club Captains, assisting in the kitchen during tournaments and special events, serving behind the bar, helping maintain the courts and clubhouse facilities, and contributing countless hours wherever assistance is needed.
The awards night was not only a celebration of the work undertaken throughout the year, but also a reflection of the strong sense of community and camaraderie that exists within the Busselton Tennis Club. The Management Committee expressed its gratitude to all volunteers whose ongoing commitment and willingness to help continue to make the Club a welcoming and successful environment for members and visitors alike.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Volunteer of the Year Awards. It was a privilege to announce joint winners Cate Muntz and Alan Robb, both recognised for their exceptional dedication, outstanding service, and unwavering support of the Club throughout the year.
Also acknowledged on the night were nominees Wendy Weir, Warren Kearns, Dennis Schram, and Meri Belton, each of whom were recognised for their continuous hard work, generosity, and commitment to volunteering across many areas of Club activities.
Club President Cliff Silke also made a special presentation to outgoing Club Secretary Kerry Fucile in recognition of her outstanding service and dedication over the past four years. Kerryโs professionalism, commitment, and tireless efforts in the role have been greatly appreciated by the Committee and members alike, and her contribution to the Club has left a lasting impact.
The Busselton Tennis Club extends its sincere thanks to every volunteer who contributes their time and energy to the Club. Their efforts are the foundation of the Clubโs continued success and community spirit.
