Tomorrow is Preliminary Finals Day, with the winners progressing through to the Grand Finals on Saturday 5 September!

A few GAME DAY REMINDERS 👇

⏱️ SCORERS & TIMERS
Please make sure your allocated scorer and timer know their role and are ready to go. Finals are not the time for first-time scorers or timers.

👀 SPECTATORS
Please stay in the designated spectator areas, keep clear of team benches and court corners, and follow any directions from BNA officials.

Cheer, clap and support positively — remember, everyone can hear you!

🚗 PARKING
It’s going to be a busy day around the courts, so please allow extra time to find a park, park only in designated areas and be respectful of our neighbours.

Good luck to all teams taking the court at the GLC tonight for our first finals games!

Finals are exciting, the intensity lifts and we want everyone to enjoy the occasion.

A few important reminders before the first whistle:

Please make sure your allocated scorer and timer understand their role and are ready to go.
• First team listed = SCORER
• Second team listed = TIMER

👀 SPECTATORS
Please keep clear of the goal lines and playing area. If you’re asked by a BNA official to move, please do so respectfully.

📣 SUPPORT POSITIVELY
Finals bring plenty of excitement — cheer loudly, encourage your team and enjoy the game, but please keep comments positive and respectful.

🫶 RESPECT THE WHISTLE
Our umpires are an important part of the game. Respect their decisions and remember there is a person behind every whistle.

We know everyone is keen to hear what’s happening with Spring!

Spring Competition information will be released following the conclusion of our Winter Season.

For now, we’re focused on finishing off a fantastic Winter season and finals series.

📊 SURVEY SUNDAY 📊

We’ve had 100+ responses to our 2027 Season Survey so far — thank you to everyone who has taken the time to have their say!

But we’d love to hear from even more of our BNA community to make sure the results represent our whole membership.

Here are a few interesting results so far 👀

🏖️ 46% don’t want to play at all during the July school holidays.

🙌 62% would be willing to help with court set-up through their club.

📱 53% receive most of their BNA information through Facebook.

🏐 There is strong support for changing 17&U to 16&U, with this age group also receiving the most support to move from Saturday to a weeknight competition.

🌙 Monday nights at Lou Weston? So far, the results are almost 50/50 — this one could go either way!

We’re also super excited that some of you have answered “Yes, I’ll come on the Board!” 🎉

☀️ WHAT A DAY FOR FINALS! ☀️

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to a fantastic day of finals today.

Congratulations to all of our teams who took the court — there was some brilliant netball, plenty of excitement and great sportsmanship throughout the day 💙💛💚

A special thank you to our canteen crew, who worked incredibly hard all day, and to our Board and Working Group members who put in so much behind the scenes and throughout the day to keep everything running.

And of course, thank you to our umpires, coaches, managers, scorers, timers, volunteers, supporters and everyone else who played a part.

Well done, everyone — what a great day of netball! 🏐
