Never without drama but always entertaining, somehow we managed to get all three cars (and drivers) organised and eventually out on track for this one.

Brett missed out on qualifying due to accelerator issues and Isaac came in after half a lap complaining that things weren’t running right, after being told to just get back out there he came in sitting at P1 (not bad for a car that’s s**t, hey Isaac). Brett also found a split by chance needing a quick swap out before the next race.

Jonny had a good run consistently battling in the top 3 1600’s all day but unfortunately a couple of spins at slippery corners in the last race saw him drop back to forth overall for the day. With some more refining for the last round Jonny will definitely be looking to pose a threat to the front runners.

Isaac and Ross battled close as always and with Brett added to the mix gave great racing for the spectators in the 1200 class.

Overall for once all cars were loaded back into the trailers with minimal work needed before the final round at wanneroo in October (something that hasn’t happened this season)

Final results for the collie round saw Isaac pick up 1st and Brett 2nd in the 1200 class and Jonathan 4th in 1600’s

Well that’s another one down and we managed to get two out of three cars out on track over the weekend, with Brett unfortunately having to sit this one out.

However Jonathan finally completed his second full race meeting which is what he’s been waiting for all year. Even though he’s still ironing out the creases of making the move to 1600, he showed consistency and progress throughout the day.

Now although Isaac smashed it once again and came away with race round win, he had to work hard for this one, which is always good for a reality check, with Mackenzie and Campbell and even Bruce giving him a run for his money. However, nothing but good, tight clean racing all round which is always good.

So with the shed all cleaned out and all cars at home for a while it’s all hands on deck as we head into the next round at Collie in August.

Craziness is the normal in our house on race weeks, but last week was intense.

Everything was good to go then Jonny ran in to problems last minute resulting in him not getting out on track. Disappointment is an understatement, the hard work, the countless hours and time all unravelled in an instant. But in true Scarey Team style he never gave up, even using race day as a full day opportunity to strip the car down to find out what was going on. With the problem found, fingers crossed we see Jonny on track at the next meeting

With Brett’s car finally complete, it was time for him to get some decent track time and show everyone he’s still got what it takes. Coming away with overall 3rd Place for the Australian Series & WASCC round, chasing Franz and Isaac all the way.

Then there’s Isaac, what can we say. This kid has done nothing but improve every race this year. With very little sleep he came out and showed everyone how it’s done with less than 3 years behind the wheel on track. After qualifying on pole for the 1200’s he wasn’t looking back, even racing alongside 1600’s and with some extremely close racing with Franz he bought home 1st in the Australian Series and WASCC round (too bad Dad just couldn’t keep up). We are all so proud of what you achieved this weekend, had your best drive yet, Well Done.

So with the next race in less than three weeks time and the season closing in, it will be all hands on deck, with our main focus being to get Jonny back on track.
