Michael Lucas – World Champion!

Overnight BSC's esteemed Vice President, Mick, went and got himself a World Championship Title (shooting 192/200) in Seniors division in Italy at the Fitasc World Compak Championships. He even went into the last day, leading, and still shot himself a clean round – nerves of steel? Perhaps.

Further, fellow BSC Member, Peter Tobin and John Younger (not BSC, but we forgive him) came in with a most excellent 188/200 each. Their combined score, with Mick’s, pushed our Mens Senior team into the gold!

Now, we hear the moans that Compak is not an SCA discipline any more, but bloody hell, our Members are out there kicking goals … or shooting things … and … well, wow – what bloody legends.

Today we farewell Andy Aitchison (Andy) long term member and well known face at CCTC .

Andy was known to many of us for his time being involved in DTL, long term committee member , President and Vice President roles , working with Asset college providing new shooters with a way to get involved with the club , assisting with novice shooters and many other roles . The list is long .

We hope he will always shoot a possible and have many “reds” on his eternal score card .

Oops . You really have to love 5 weekend months . Our apologies to all the sporting shooters today for our lack of lunch but due to a misunderstanding, the caterers thought it was next Sunday being the last Sunday of the month.

Rest assured, they will be back at our sporting comp in September
