Brock Sutton Award - Vincenzo Rovetto & Tash Zahkour

No two people have given more to the RMIT Big V program in recent times than Vince & Tash. You simply cannot put into words how big an impact they have had on this program and with alot of it happening behind the scenes it is very easy to overlook but not here!
Their sacrifice and commitment to the Redbacks is second to none and without them we would not be the way we are in 2026. We love you both!

Champ Men’s Award Winners ❤️🏆

Coaches Award - Daniel Steen

Steen has been an absolutely fantastic Captain to the Championship Men’s team. He is someone who you can rely on to get the job done, whether that is coming off the bench to play or get the team in line. Steen leads by example, he never complains and never fusses. He is the epitome of being a captain on and off the floor.

Defensive Player of the Year - Zachary Coleman Bock

The big Bock. Whatever the occasion, whatever the requirement Bock is at the forefront to the Champ Men’s teams success - especially this season. Bock is our Mr Reliable.

Most Valuable Player - Devon Vanderheydt

This season Devon showed that he is a bonafide import at this level, with his relentless desire and ability to lead the team as a natural first option. More importantly, the human element. Who Devon is as a person…it is evident to everyone around him he was raised the right way. He is respectful, caring, hardworking and he fit seamlessly into our family this season.

Senior Women’s Award Winners ❤️🏆

Coach’s Award - Kayla Blazko

Kayla came into this team knowing no one and has been nothing but her true self from day one. She has shown a lot of growth as a young player on this team always seeking feedback and advice as well as pitching in her opinion when she felt necessary. Very well deserved praise for what Kayla has brought to the Redbacks in 2026!

Defensive Player of the Year - Allie Evans

Allie is a player who puts in 110% of effort into every game. Her quickness, grit and high motor allowed us to provide her a lot of our main defensive assignments where she learned about wearing down stronger offensive players. Well done Allie!

MVP - Althea Angeles

In only so many games Althea returned to the Redbacks making an instant impact. Her point guard ability was clear cut above the rest of the league and her statstical impact on this team got the attention of the entire league.

Coaches Award - Ahmed Jammal

One of the most rewarding parts of coaching for Issa is being able to watch a player grow, and for Issa Ahmed’s development this season has been nothing short of outstanding. His maturity, commitment and willingness to learn both on and off the court has made a huge impact on our Youth League Program.

Defensive Player of the Year - Carson Taylor-Jones

Carson has served the defensive standard all season. His effort, discipline and willingness to get to work on court made a massive impact for our team while guarding the opponents main danger.

Most Valuable Player - Daniel Sacca

Daniel consistently set the standard across the board. He embraced every challenge and delivered when his team needed him most. On top of this, Daniel was 2nd in the league for scoring and 6th for assists. He is a very deserving MVP.
