A phenomenal achievement and well deserved recognition for an incredible overall carnival performance.💛💙

This weekend 6 of Valleys Rugby League Club Gladstone Snr were part of the 47th Battalion Carnival in Toowoomba.

Women’s players Nakita Rhind and Delaney Claridge, alongside their Val’s Coach Mooks Wirihana were part of the undefeated Capricornia women’s championship winning team! With both girls playing impressive footy & Delaney named as player of the tournament!

A grade players Jaylyn Tanoitiaola and Jordan Anderson, also alongside their Val’s coach Bill Cullen were part of the men’s Capricornia team, unfortunately the men narrowly avoided taking out the tournament, with just one loss.

Congratulation to all involved, in what was a 47th Battalion Carnival to remember!

An outstanding performance from start to finish. Topping the ladder, going unbeaten, and bringing home the cup shows real class, teamwork, and consistency across the entire carnival.

Great result for the women—20–14 over Sunshine Coast is a strong win and puts them in a really solid position heading into tomorrow. If they carry that momentum into their games against Wide Bay, they’re looking very promising.
For the men, it’s a bit tighter—beating Wide Bay is a must, and then it comes down to how the other results fall. Bit of scoreboard watching there, but still very much in it.
Will keep everyone posted on how both teams go tomorrow 👍
