Big Season, Big Improvements

As we get closer to announce our 2026/2027 Speedway Calendar, we have been still hard at work continuing the improvements to the Bunbury Speedway.

Work has been completed on our track drainage system, to help stop the flooding of our infield that continues to affect turns three and four.

Also work has been done to the infield grass, in readiness to welcome you all back!

Big thank you to everyone who continues to put in the hours to improve the venue and the experience for all.

FOUR STATE TITLES COMING TO BUNBURY

In what is going to shape up to be a massive season, the Bunbury Speedway will be proud hosts of FOUR State Titles during the 2026/2027 season.

Headlined by the Western Australian Sprintcar Championship on November 7. Bunbury will also again be host of the WA 360/LS Sprintcar Championship for the second year in a row on January 16.

But that won’t be all, as on April 3, we will host two State Titles on the one night with Limited Sprintcars and Formula 500’s hosting their WA Championships right here in Bunbury.

Still plenty more to announce for the upcoming season with plenty of big events up our sleeves.

SHORT BUT SWEET, WITH STILL LOTS GOING ON

It might not have been the longest season to date, but this year's Bunbury Speedway season has come to a close.

A year of progress saw plenty done at the venue, including a new surface and extensive work on the facilities.

The work won't stop here, as crews return to continue upgrading our Speedway venue into a place we can race all year long.

Works are already going on for our 2026/2027 Speedway season, with the four Speedway tracks in the south west being Collie, Manjimup, Margaret River, and ourselves all meeting up over the weekend to discuss how to make sure we all work together in lifting our sport to the next level.

Thank you to all who made the journey to Bunbury this season, and we can't wait to welcome you back!

WORK KEEPS ROLLING

Some eagle eyed attendees may of seen some changes to the infield over the weekend at the Bunbury Speedway, as work continues at the venue.

The latest update to the venue has been helping with the drainage, with thanks to MJB Industries again. More soak wells and drainage have been added to help racing continue through the year.

Work will continue during the year as the Bunbury Speedway works on building the infrastructure to future proof the sport in the city.
