2026 Development Championships

What an incredible weekend of skating! 🎉

Last weekend, we held the 2026 Development Championships at Kingsway Stadium, bringing together 25 talented skaters from Cobras RSC, Morley Panthers RSC, Southwest Stars RSC and Bunbury RSC.

There was plenty of excitement and fantastic skating across a huge range of events — from Shoot the Ducks and Spirals through to Duos, Freeskate, Freedance and Compulsory Dance. 🛼✨

It was wonderful to see so many skaters getting out on the floor, challenging themselves, supporting each other and showcasing just how much they have developed. Congratulations to every skater who took part — you should all be incredibly proud! 🏆👏

Thank you to our judges Helen, Maia, Abi and Ivy along with all the volunteers that made the day a success.

Last day today for nominations for the Development Championships next Saturday.

Don’t forget to get your nominations in for the 2026 Development Championships on August 15th. Nominations will close on Sunday 9th at 7pm.

Nominations are now open for the Skate WA Development Championships, to be held on Saturday, 15 August at Kingsway Indoor Stadium, following the Novice Championships.

Figures will be held in the morning at Morley Rollerdrome.

The competition schedule and event times will be confirmed and circulated closer to the event. Nominations can be made using the link below.

Saturday afternoon saw WA’s Development skaters hit the floor at the Morley Rollerdrome for an action-packed showcase hosted by the Morley Panthers Rollerskating Club.
From fast-paced Shoot the Ducks to impressive Development Quartets, the afternoon was full of energy, skill, and determination as skaters gave it their all out on the rink.
A massive thank you to the Morley Panthers for hosting such a fantastic event and creating an amazing atmosphere for skaters, families, and supporters alike. Congratulations to every competitor who took to the floor and represented their clubs and the future of WA artistic rollerskating so proudly!
