🏁 IAME Asia Series– Round 5 | Final Day

The first race of the day, Heat 3, was wet, giving us the opportunity to finally use the wet tyres that had been shelved the day before. Well… it was a little bit of déjà vu! 😅 Unfortunately, Makayla didn’t even get to start the race.

Having only completed Heat 2, it was imperative that she put in a solid run in the Super Heat to earn enough points to make the Final. She had an okay run and finished 10th.

Despite only getting two heats under her belt, Makayla managed to score enough points to qualify for the Final, starting from 24th/36. She put a solid run run in and way finished 18th.

A huge congratulations to Cruz from JDP Group, who had a magnificent drive from 32nd all the way to 6th! 👏🔥

After a tough first heat where mechanical issues meant Makayla didn’t even get to start, it was so good to see her bounce back in Heat 2! 🏁

She finished 6th, moving up to 5th after penalties, and even did her first post-race interview!

Looking forward to another day of racing tomorrow.
