SW Champion Schools Cup

In the latest round of fixtures before a tornado meant cancellation of some games. Manea Senior College (Official Page) lost to Bunbury Senior High School, and BCC SPORT had a win against OLMC in the boys competition. Weeks 9 and 10 will see 3 games per week before School Sport Western Australia Inc. Country Week in week 11.

Last week, saw Manea Senior College (Official Page) play there first game of the season against Bunbury Senior High School in the first wet conditions Bunbury has seen in 6 months!! The rain did not dampen the girls enthusiasm and the game was played in great spirit. BSHS getting the winner with the last kick of the game! The other girls game on the night saw Our Lady of Mercy College make their debut in the competition against BCC SPORT.

Welcome to the 2024 season, of the SW High Schools Statewide Soccer Competition.

Last week saw Bunbury Senior High School take on BCC SPORT in both boys and girls competitions., with BSHS coming out winners in both. Great to see BCC get a girls team together for the first time in a few years, the future looks bright for this young squad. Thanks to Bunbury Dynamos Soccer Club and South West Phoenix for use of their pitches this term.

Bunbury Senior High School girls, the last SW representation in the statewide soccer comp unfortunately suffered a narrow 1-0 loss to Carine SHS this week. Well done getting to the quarter finals and look forward to seeing you and hopefully more girls teams in the SW comp in 2024!!

However in much better news for SW Schools soccer. One for the girls, fitting in this year! Bunbury Senior High School team beat Safety Bay SHS 3-2 on Tuesday, so we still have some SW representatives in the state comp! Congratulations girls!! Good luck in the next round!

Not great results for the SW boys this week, but awesome to be representing their schools and the South West in the state Soccer competition. Manea Senior College (Official Page) boys lost 4-2 to South Coast Baptist on Wednesday and Bunbury Senior High School lost 1-0 to Mazenod college in much better conditions today. 2024 looks promising for the SW schools, with plans for expansion of this competition in term 2 next year!

Good luck to boys teams this week from both Manea Senior College (Official Page), playing South Coast Baptist College on Wednesday, and Bunbury Senior High School, playing Mazenod College on Thursday, in the first knockout rounds of the competition.

Well done to all Greater Bunbury School participants both during term 2 and at Country Week! Last night saw Manea Senior College (Official Page) take on a well organised Bunbury Baptist College. BBC's young and inexperienced team never gave up and showed some great teamplay despite MSC running out comfortable winners.
