Nambour Blue Demons Hockey Club The Nambour Blue Demons are proud to be the 2022 SCHA Club of the year.

As one of Sunshine Coast Hockey Associations larger, successful clubs, Nambour Hockey, affectionately known as Blue Demons. From humble beginnings in 1977, the club has developed into a major force within Sunshine Coast hockey both in terms of playing strength and sporting achievement. Blue Demons proudly boast impressive clubhouse facilities, two grass playing fields and excellent floodlighting of the main field for night training.

Before finals Sunshine Coast Hockey Association put the call out for the funniest, strangest or oddest team photo…

And obviously, our Div 3 Women were never going to let an opportunity like that pass them by.

So out came the double denim, the wigs and the questionable poses — because apparently this is what happens when you give this crazy lot a camera and an excuse to have some fun!

Whatever the official outcome, we reckon these snaps deserve their moment in the spotlight.

DIV 3 WOMEN - TWO IN A ROW 🏑💙

What a season from our Div 3 Women! After finishing the regular season undefeated as Minor Premiers, the girls backed it up in the Grand Final to go back-to-back and picked up the President’s Cup along the way. Not a bad effort from this bunch of misfits!

But it’s not just what they’ve achieved on the field that makes this group special. They bring the fun to hockey, support each other on and off the field, celebrate each other’s wins and, most importantly, genuinely love playing together.

There are plenty of smiles, plenty of laughs and no shortage of questionable antics along the way. 😂

U17 BOYS — MINOR PREMIERS & GRAND FINAL CHAMPIONS 🏑💙

What a season for our U17 Boys!

After finishing the regular season as Minor Premiers, the boys capped off an incredible year by taking out the Grand Final and bringing home the silverware!

A huge congratulations to the entire team and coaching crew on a fantastic season and a well-deserved result.

And a special shout-out to our very own Callum Taylor, who was named Player of the Final! 👏

U17 GIRLS — GRAND FINAL RUNNERS UP 🏑 💙

Not quite the fairytale ending our U17 Girls were hoping for, going down to Rebels in the Grand Final, but what a season these girls have had!

A Grand Final appearance, plenty of great hockey and a whole lot to be proud of.

Sometimes the scoreboard doesn’t go your way, but getting to Grand Final is no small achievement - and these girls have done themselves, their families and the Demons proud all season long.

Heads up, girls! It might not have been the result you wanted on the day, but you’ve had an amazing season and should be incredibly proud of everything you’ve achieved.

📸 DIV 3 MEN - PRELIM FINAL

Our Div 3 Men headed into their Prelim Final with Grand Final dreams and plenty of fight - but Maroochydore just had a little more on the day!

The boys gave it their all, but it wasn’t quite their year to add another Grand Final to the list, with the game finishing 4-1.

After such a cracking season, there’s still plenty to smile about and plenty to be proud of.

Thankyou all for an outstanding season 🩶💙
To the team, the club and everyone involved in Division 1 - Thank you!

It wasn’t the result we wanted in the prelim, but we played some really good, fast hockey and came so close. Regardless, it has been an incredible season. The work, effort, growth and belief this team has shown has been unbelievable. I’m so proud of every one of you and everything we’ve achieved together.

What a season! 💙
