Ministry of Youth and Sports is deeply concerned about the recent match between Liberia and Tunisia, which was played on March 19, 2025, at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports has observed, through video review, that the referee denied Lone Star two clear penalties, which significantly impacted not only the match's outcome but also Lone Star's chances of qualifying.

The Ministry believes that such critical errors by the officiating undermined the principles of fairness and integrity in the sport. As such, the issue must be addressed at the highest level.

Given the above, the Ministry is therefore requesting the Liberia Football Association (LFA) to file an official complaint with FIFA, urging them to launch a thorough investigation into the officiating of the match.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Youth and Sports requests a replay of the match to ensure that justice is served and the integrity of the game is upheld.

March Madness Tournament Set to Kick Off This March

The 5th annual March Madness Community Tournament will kick off on March 21, 2025, with an electrifying schedule in two interesting categories: Football (Male & Female) and Kickball.

This year's tournament is going to be an action-packed event with 16 male teams, 8 female teams, and 8 kickball communities competing with each other for mouth-watering cash prizes, huge trophies, and medals.

Individual awards will also be given out, including MVPs, Highest Scorer, and Best Goalkeeper, in appreciation of great performances throughout the tournament.

The tournament will be played at the popular Barnersville Estate Stadium from March 21 to March 30, 2025.

Last year, the LPRC Community claimed the trophy in the men's category, while the Barnersville Community gloriously became the champion in the women's category.

With this year's excitement of including kickball, this year's tournament promises to be more captivating than ever. The thrill is worth watching, do not miss out!

Breaking News 🚨
The Tunisian 🇹🇳 Police have arrested four (suspects) Liberians, for the Alleged poisoning and murder of Frederick Boakai, whose Lifeless body was found in Tunisia on 4th February 2025.
As per sports writer Peter Lamah, his source stated that Fredrick was poison while out with friends at an entertainment center during a celebration of the Liberian Community.
It is reported that Frederick had a lot of cash that night and even Puchased drinks for his friends.
Fredrick left the celebration at midnight hence he faced difficulties getting a cab home to which he dicided to walk.
while walking some of his friends who had allegedly poisoned him decided to follow him,
It is said he placed a call to a friend expressing pain in his stomach but it was too late.
The said friends that allegedly followed Fredrick took away all his cash and materials and left him to die when he fell unconscious.
It has been reported that four individuals were arrested in relation to the incident and are currently in the custody of the Tunisian police as they make further investigation.
