CLUB STATEMENT
Regent City Futsal Club would like to announce the clubs withdrawal from Series Futsal Victoria and any Futsal Oz affiliated competitions, effective immediately.
The club will not be partaking in tonight’s clash with Moreland Blues Futsal Club and would like to apologise to the fans of the clubs and those who were planning on attending.
This was a necessary decision, we thoroughly enjoyed the many years we were a part of this competition and the friendships we made along the way, this decision although a hard one is one we believe is warranted.
Our decision was based on the treatment that we received by some of the management of FutsalOz, we have countlessly been shown no respect and faced continuous bias discrimination towards us.
Regent City does not owe any balance to FutsalOz, although an agenda about money will be brought up to cover up the real issue. We had enough of being disrespected and mistreated. Enough is enough.
There were efforts made to keep it at a professional level but due to consistent mistreatment and lack of respect we could not continue in the competition.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our fans and sponsors for all their endless support, Regent will continue to play in other competitions and leagues just not where we aren’t wanted.
