First Dance Melbourne

New Thursday 7pm group course for September!

Our Monday night groups are booked out for August and September, so I've added a Thursday night group course for 5 lucky couples. Book in ASAP as it will sell out quickly!

Week 1 - "the basics" - we learn to sway comfortably together, do a couple of simple turns and a dip to various types of music

Week 2 - "waltz around" - we learn a basic waltz and begin learning our wrap combos too

Week 3 - "the fancy bit" - we learn some combos that look way harder than they are, so you can create your "oooohhh" moment from your guests. Getting in and out of knots, and a lift or two for the brave!

Week 4 - "all together now" - we work out a simple entrance, and put our steps together with your chosen song! We also work out your reception entrance, make sure we can lead and follow to faster music so you can stay on the dancefloor beyond the first dance, and work out the logistics of your mid aisle dip to navigate things like dress trains and bouquets!

Classes are held on Lygon St in East Brunswick.

Had so much fun with these guys in one of the 2025 crash courses, and was delighted to see they played around with all the lifts and dips when they came back for a couple of private lessons just before the big day!
