OTHER PIECES OF PILATES.
Most of us have heard or tried the Reformer, as this has become one of the most popular Pilates pieces in Australia over the last 10 years.
However, there are many other pieces that your body will also fall in love with to help facilitate movement and take your movement/mobility/increase strength to the next level.
Let us introduce you to them…
This piece is the Cadillac (some call it the trapeze because of the hanging piece you see here in the picture. It can look daunting, but it would be our personal favourite due to its versatility 🖤
The Cadiallac
Rotation of the spine (using the push thru bar)
This piece of equipment can work your entire body.
Legs, arms, Abs and all the little muscles inbetween. Nothing quite like it.
The Cadillac
Advanced - Spinal Extension using the Fuzzy Straps
The Cadillac.
Hip Rolls (or Extended leg Bridging)
The Cadillac
Prone - Chest extension aka “Swan” using the push thru bar here in this pic.
The Chair.
A smaller piece of equipment so people love these for home use also. Think reformer only you can sit on it for footwork (aka chair)
Also offering so much versatility with kneeling & standing (balance options)
It’s also amazing for clients who can’t lie down comfortably for long periods like on the reformer
Eg vertigo (vestibular conditions), prenatal etc
The pedal works on an Arch.
Movement isn’t just up/down or forward/back, but rather arching so we are able to access other smaller muscles groups that can be a little inactive
The Barrels.
This one in particular is the Ladder Barrel (a larger style).
We use these to help you find your spinal movement and increase spinal mobility but rolling into/over it.
But showing the versatility (above) it also offer many more styles of movement to help you in your everyday life eg surfing (prone position) etc
The Ladder Barrel
Spinal extension in its finest form where every Vertebrae feels the barrel to bring about the spine support
The ladder barrel
Hamstring Stretches
It offer incredible stretching also.
Demonstrating continued hip stretches (hip flexors above)
Spine Corrector (aka smaller barrel)
Again amazing fo
