Ever wondered how Vacuwash cleans sails without damaging them?
The Vacuwash process is simple, environmentally friendly and highly effective at removing dirt, mould and mildew from sails, marine canvas and other outdoor fabrics.
Here's how it works:
1️⃣ Your sails are placed in our stainless steel Vacuwash tank.
2️⃣ A vacuum removes the air trapped between the fabric fibres and layers.
3️⃣ The cleaning solution is introduced, allowing it to pe*****te deep into every part of the fabric.
4️⃣ The sails are thoroughly rinsed to remove dirt and contaminants.
5️⃣ Finally, they are naturally air-dried in our spacious, light-filled factory.
The result? Cleaner sails, no harsh scrubbing and no damage to the fabric. ✨

☀️ A perfect winter drying day at Vacuwash!
Plenty of sunshine and just a light breeze through the factory made for ideal conditions to dry these TP52 kites.
It's not every day we have sails like these hanging up to dry, and they certainly look impressive!
If your sails are due for a clean, now is a great time.

Contrary to popular belief, winter isn't bad for sails.
In many parts of Australia, it's actually one of the best times of year to get out on the water. Crisp breezes, fewer crowds and some spectacular sailing conditions make winter a favourite season for many sailors.
The idea of winter sail maintenance comes from the Northern Hemisphere, where freezing temperatures force boats out of the water for months at a time. That's where the Vacuwash sail cleaning process was originally developed, as boat owners prepared their sails for winter storage.
Today, many of our customers still include an annual sail clean as part of their regular boat maintenance schedule. In fact, more than half of our work comes from returning customers who know the value of keeping their sails clean and protected.
If your boat is taking a break this winter, remove your sails from the rig and store them below deck. Better still, send them to Vacuwash for a professional clean. The same goes for your canvas.
After all, maintaining your sails costs a lot less than replacing them.

Bucket List Sailing: Isle of Wight
Dreaming of a summer sailing escape without the tropical heat?
The UK may not be the first place that comes to mind, but hear us out.

🚒 The Rural Fire Service has been busy!
These tents have just arrived at Vacuwash after being used by crews cutting fire trails around Cobar in Central NSW.
Let's just say they've brought a little bit of the outback with them... 🤣
Our factory is currently sporting a lovely layer of red dirt, and the washing team has their work cut out for them. But that's exactly what we're here for.
From emergency service tents and shelters to marine canvas and sails, if it's dirty, dusty or weather-beaten, we'll get it cleaned up and ready for its next adventure.
