🤎 NACHO’S FIRST SOLO OUTING 🤎
Today we took Nacho, who is currently in training with Brooklyn Park Equine on behalf of a client, on his first solo trip to Elcho Park.
With wind gusts reaching approximately 80 km/h and a severe weather warning in place, the conditions certainly weren’t ideal—but Nacho handled the outing exceptionally well. Despite the wild weather, being away from home and having no other horses there for reassurance, he remained sensible and took the experience in his stride.
Nacho confidently explored the pony club grounds and encountered plenty of new sights and surroundings. He especially impressed us when we introduced him to the water. Although he was initially unsure, he was brave enough to trust his rider, walk in and stand quietly—finishing the session on a fantastic and positive note.
Our training programs are tailored to each horse and owner’s individual goals. Nacho’s young rider is hoping for him to become a confident and capable pony club horse, so we are doing everything possible to prepare him for that role. This includes exposing him to new environments, solo outings, unfamiliar obstacles and a variety of experiences that will help build his confidence and independence.
Overall, it was an incredibly positive first outing, and we couldn’t be happier with how Nacho handled himself. We’re excited to continue building on this experience and watching his confidence grow. 🤍🐴
