FIXTURE UPDATE- Broadmeadow Magic is on the road tomorrow with a last minute fixture change, note the updated kick offs below due the recent weather event. Cheers on our GSSGroup Magicians as they head over to Fearnley Dawes Athletics track to take on Cooks Hill Utd. Magic need a win to put the chasing pack to bed ahead of our final fixtures, and Cookers will be looking to make amends after the first half blitz we gave them at home in the previous fixture. Always entertaining matches.

This fixture was previously scheduled for Magic Park and has been moved due to the inclement weather. Reserve Grade is postponed with details to be confirmed shortly. NEWS- Congratulations to our GSSGroup NPLW on becoming Runners-Up in the NNSW Women's State Cup over the weekend. The girls battled hard, with 4 victories, 2 over fellow NPLW opposition to qualify for the GF. They come up against a rampant Maitland outfit in the Grand Final being defeated 5 goals to nil. Well done to all players that helped get to the final, 4 matches in 48 hours is a an outstanding effort.

We look forward to focus on the remainder of the NPLW season and solidify a spot int he final series.

RESULTS- NPL Northern NSW Men's Rd 18 Broadmeadow Magic versus Newcastle Olympic FC fixtures played at Magic Park today.

⚽ GSSGroup NPL- 2-1 MAGIC WIN!!!
Goal Scorers- Ben Diamond, Jakob Cresnar

⚽ The Excavation Specialists Reserves- 2-1 MAGIC WIN!!!

The sun was shining but the wind had a wicked bite to it, and it was shaping up for a tale of two halves because of it. Olympic shocked the huge crowd in attendance as they scrambled a corner in the first minutes then scored if it. However, the Magic men composed themselves and the tide started to turn after 15 minutes and wave after wave of Red attack pummelled the Olympic goal. Ben Diamond's thunderous header off a corner would draw us level, then Jakob's smash into the back stick would cap off some excellent team play to give us the lead. The last 10 minutes before half time we could have been up 4 or 5 to 1 however, could not hit the net.
The Second half was Olympic's time to get the wind advantage, and although they troubled us enough times to pinch the result, our defenders stood strong and were desperate tot he final whistle. Magic finished the RED and BLUE Derby as 2 to 1 victors, and making it another Red and Blue Derby double.

A huge thank you to the amazing crowd that come on the cheer our men in Red, and special thanks to our JDL Boys Chaperones, ball kids and team mascots that made the day memorable, we hope you had a great time.

Next week we head to Fearnley Dawes Athletics track to take on Cooks Hill on Saturday.
