What a great opportunity to thank one of our newer sponsors on a day we are heading up to play Seymour in our second practice match today..
They are literally on the same street as the bowling club on Tallarook st (though address is Emily), situated as you turn off Emily st (opp police station)
They were the great people that also supplied the chainsaw to be raffles at the recent Ailsa Kel tournament..
Need any good gear for the garden or ya bike, GET IN THERE !!

Practice 1 verse Avenel 12th Sept 2026

WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN

This IS only a practice game, but it seems all our hard work in the Winter Challenge has had to have helped most of us yesterday
It has been a very very long time since we have got ALL 6 rink WIN

With a couple rinks down by 10 and 8 respectively yesterday at the 1/2, they showed great patience to bounce back, fight and get over the line for the WIN

Div 1 got up by 26 shots
Div 3 got up by 18 shots

I am massively proud of our rinks and the fashion on which we played, with all rinks vocal and supportive across the green..
Positive, Positive ,Positive is all that could be heard, even with the shots that didn’t quite meet their mark.
This can go a long way in keeping sides down, still IN THE GAME !!

On this beautiful Broadford day, we had 25 players play 2 games of 8 ends, the day was won by Steve B, James B and Maureen with 2 wins plus 17. The jackpot of $264 was drawn by Alan L, congratulations winner. The jackpot will start afresh next week. Next week we have 1 team playing 60 and over at Seymour. Will see you all then, everyone welcome.

* 1st place was a joint effort from our 2 very experienced campaigners Barb Goddard and Peter Hoskins
* 2nd place was a very up and coming player at the club who play consistent bowls throughout Marcia Reid
Well done to all players that consistently fronted every week to practice and grow..
Remember all this is not limited to our own players and all players from other clubs are welcome to join us next off season
