Boat Registration for the 2026-27 Season is Open!

To assist our committee, all members intending to race this season are asked to register their boat in the TopYacht system before the first race day on 5 September (even if you aren’t sailing that day). Remember, the TopYacht registration/Userid is under the regular skipper’s name and details.

Shout out to our junior and intermediate sailors that braved the cold to participate in the Gill Youth Week training and regatta last week at Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron.

Congratulations to Archer Newton for his first place in a hot fleet of 16 sabots from the South Queensland Sabot Association, North Queensland Sabot Association and Northern NSW. Other results including Harrison Duignan in 4th, Addison White in 8th, Patrick Spry-Bailey in 9th, Tyler Duignan in 12th and Ben Duignan in 16th.

Well done to Mia Walker and Charlotte Hawgood for braving the gusty conditions to participate in the training camp at the start of the week.

Well done also to Morgan Oakley and Blake White (1st) and Felix Breton and Lana Oakley (2nd) for mixing it with the 29ers and showing off the 13ft skiffs at the regatta!

Congratulations to Mylo Huang (14th) and Raphael Breton (17th) for their results in the highly competitive ILCA6 regatta.

We were thrilled to see so many smiling faces at our presentation of trophies last night. Special thanks to Councillor Lucy Collier and Di Farmer MP for joining us to present some important awards, and set the new dress code for next year! Thanks also to the wonderful Joanne O'Shea and her team in the kitchen for a delicious dinner!
