That's a wrap on our second Postnatal Network event! ❤️

Yesterday we welcomed new mums both online and at HQ for an afternoon covering pelvic floor health, returning to exercise after birth, and everything in between.

There were great questions, honest conversations and plenty of connecting with other mums who get it.

Are you actually ready to return to running?

It is one of the most common questions we get in the clinic - and the answer is almost never as simple as "wait six weeks."

The six week clearance is one of the most misunderstood milestones in postpartum recovery. Getting the all clear at your six week check is important - but it does not tell you whether your body is actually ready to run.

Running is a high impact activity. Every single step places force through your pelvic floor, your hips and your core - and after pregnancy and birth, those structures need to be assessed properly before you lace up and head out the door.
