UQ Skills is proud to sponsor the Interschool Queensland Beyond the Arena Award, recognising an outstanding student who demonstrates excellence in horsemanship, commitment to learning, leadership and sportsmanship.

The Prize

The successful applicant will receive a $3,000 tuition credit towards the Diploma of Equine Management (ACM50421) at UQ Skills. This credit can be used for enrolment up to the 2028 intake.

Whether you're looking to pursue a career in the equine industry or further your knowledge, this is an incredible opportunity to turn your passion into a profession.

Delivered at UQ Gatton or online, this nationally accredited 12-month program covers:
• Horse welfare, behaviour and education
• Health, nutrition and fitness
• Breeding, team leadership and business management

Students can gain practical experience at UQ's world-class equine facilities or enjoy the flexibility of studying online.


Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, applicants must:
• Have completed Year 10
• Be 16 years of age or older

The recipient of the 2026 Interschool Queensland Beyond the Arena Award will be announced on Thursday 1 July at the 2026 Edwards Saddleworld Interschool Queensland State Championships.
