Karl joined Crucible a few months ago in the hopes of recovering from an injury + getting into a good routine with well designed programming to improve his strength.

Karl has been CRUSHING it - so much so that rehab for his injury has started progressing to regular training! He’s been showing up consistently and is always open to feedback (even on testing day!) to improve. A real treat for the coaching team. He tested his deadlift a few weeks ago. Improved his 1RM by 40kgs.

We’re stoked to have people like Karl as part of our crew at Crucible. They bring joy into every week.

This week marks one year of Crucible. It’s hard to put into words just how grateful we are. It’s been the craziest, wildest year & everything we’ve built over the past 12 months has only been possible because of the people who choose to spend part of their week with us.

Releasing the Crucible Podcast this week felt like the perfect way to celebrate. It’s something that’s been on the team’s mind for a long time, and now that the gym is established, we finally get to bring it to life!

It’s another way for us to share what we’re passionate about: coaching, training, and helping people become stronger, healthier and more capable, so they can live full, healthy lives.

This week, more than anything, we’re grateful. Thank you for trusting us, for backing a small business, and for believing in what we’re building.

Year One exceeded every expectation. And team...we’re only just getting started 🙂‍↕️🤜🏼🤛🏼

Over the past few months, the team at Crucible has opened a limited number of spots for child athletes - something our coaches feel very passionately about.

While youth athlete development is a newer addition at Crucible, working with children is not new to our coaching team.

Too often, talented young athletes end up sidelined by injuries that could have been prevented through proper movement, good technique, and well-structured strength training.

This is Jake, a motocross athlete who joined Crucible to build overall strength and capacity to support his performance on the bike and reduce injury risk. This was Jake’s first session learning how to squat.

Every child at Crucible receives consistent coaching throughout their session. No one is left to figure things out alone. Each athlete follows a program designed specifically for their age, sport, and ability, with a strong focus on movement quality and long-term athletic development.

Our goal is simple: help young athletes perform well now, and keep performing for years to come.

If you have a child athlete looking to build strength, move better, and support their sport through structured coaching, feel free to reach out to our team.

*All coaches at Crucible working with children hold current blue cards.

Crucible hosted its second ever weightlifting competition recently. It was so much fun. We were blown away by the amount of competitors who came to visit, and the support our team received from people far and wide throughout the weekend.

It got us reflecting a lot over recent weeks about how blessed we are to have such a fierce little community. We are surrounded by people who give freely, who love wholly, and who give their all to the betterment of themselves and others - - both in the gym and out.

A place becomes what the people within it make it, and that’s something we’re continually reminded of at Crucible.

It’s been a busy couple of weeks at the gym! We’re hosting our second weightlifting competition this weekend and the team has been counting down all week 🤩

It’s also been really cool watching people progress through their programs lately. We’ve had some solid lifts, PBs, also new goals and changing focuses. Lots happening, in the best way possible. It’s one of the coolest parts about how the team gets to work with members - refine and evolve programs as people grow and chase different things.

We count ourselves lucky that we get to do a bit of everything 🙏🏼

But for now, all roads lead to Saturday! It’s shaping up to be a great day in the gym. Come down and enjoy it with us 🖤🏋️

One of the beauties about Crucible is the attention our coaches are able to give every member we have. We only take a handful of people for every class - a non-traditional model for a gym, sure, but it means that *every member gets coached and cued at *every class as *each of their lifts and programs actually requires. Whether that be a comp prep program, a S&C program, an oly program or rehab program.

Our team doesn’t believe in relying on ‘hype’ for coaching...something we hear far too often in the chit-chats of happenings-at-gyms. Our coaches are there to teach you *how to train and how to do so *well so that you can *excel in your fitness related goals, no matter what they are for that season 🤝🏽
