The story of Basil the Black Lab.
It’s absolutely wild to me that there’s silence in some people‘s minds.
What do you mean you don’t have
➡️ song lyrics
➡️a conversation from 4 years ago
➡️a dinosaur rraaawwwrr noise
➡️wondering if time is real
➡️trying to do the 7 times tables picturing those blocks you used to use in grade 3 maths.
All playing at once?!
Silence???
Sounds made up.

No wonder I was voted in the Top 10 Personal Trainers in Australia with advice like this 😎
Trigger warning: Pregnancy loss.
This retreat exists because of a miscarriage I never let myself grieve.
Five years ago I had an ectopic pregnancy.
Emergency surgery.
Confusion.
Despair.
And I never let myself grieve properly, because I kept comparing my pain to other women’s.
I kept telling myself ‘other women have it worse.’
I fell into a small chapter of depression.
I was not myself at all.
I had to get away from my own life for a minute.
So I went to Bali with my mum.
But not the touristy version.
We hiked.
We did a cooking class.
We went to a water temple.
I gave up my sadness to mother nature.
She took it from me and I started to heal.
I started to come back to myself.
I went home.
I got pregnant again.
I miscarried.
Then three years later I had two babies fourteen months apart and spent the next few years just surviving the day to day.
Then one day an idea came.
Women hiking together, letting nature hold their grief the way it held mine. But with two babies under two, my body didn’t want to move that way anymore.
I still wanted to take women to nature, to move the heaviness through another way.
So hiking turned into breathwork, and Hike to Heal became The Retreat With No Name.
The first retreat sold out in two weeks.
The second in four days.
Now I’m going back to where all of it started. Bali.
And I’m taking nine women with me.
If you have a dream, never ever ever give up!
The one thing keeping you stuck with your fitness.
‼️You’re relying on willpower alone
My most successful clients aren’t the ones who are super motivated & workout 5 x a week.
They’re the ones who understand community and connection is the most powerful tool in their toolkit.
A community where someone mentions her perimenopause symptoms during a session & three others jump in with advice about a which GP to see who will actually listen to them.
A community where someone notices when you haven’t shown up in two weeks and sends a text just to check you’re okay.
A community that shouts you on when you lift heavier, and shows up with a hug when life gets hard.
That’s what turns exercise into a habit instead of something that feels like a chore.
