📣 EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST – LEVEL 1 COACHING COURSE

SQ Zone is seeking expressions of interest for the next Level 1 Coaching Course.

Anyone interested in completing their Level 1 Coaching accreditation is encouraged to register their interest early.

Please note that pre-course requirements must be met prior to attending the course.

With a huge 2025-26 season behind us, it’s time to lock in the SQ Zone 2026-27 race calendar!

An EOI for hosting events has been sent to SQ Zone club presidents including ideas for the following:

- A distinct small craft tri-series from October to December.
- A new flat water multi-event tri-series, in spring, wrapping up with a Community Christmas Cup.
- An OC6 Marathon Tri Series from March to May, wrapping up with a two-day SQ Zone Championship Weekend before the National Marathon Championships.

We look forward to hearing the ideas gathering momentum within clubs and sharing a calendar with you all soon.

Several SQZ club teams were spotted training at Lake Kawana over the weekend as they gear up for the World Sprint Championships next month.

This morning, we celebrate our Junior paddlers representing Australia at the Singapore IVF Va'a World Sprint Championships 2026. Thanks to all the juniors, their parents, clubs, coaches, managers, uber drivers and personal ATM's 😁Future done right!

We are also pleased to share an important update for AOCRA South Queensland Zone following the Special General Meeting held on Monday 20 April, where delegates elected a new committee to serve through to the next AGM.

A number of committee members will be at the upcoming Scarborough Regatta and look forward to hearing from you and connecting with the paddlers.
